Bose's most famous quote was "Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom!" It was spoken as a part of a motivational speech for the Indian National Army (INA) at a rally of Indians in Burma on 4 July 1944, in this, he urged the people of India to join him in his fight against the British Rule. Spoken in Hindi ('तुम मुझे खून दो, मैं तुम्हे आजादी दूंगा'), Bose's words are highly evocative.
